More o' the same PsychedelicPopFolkRockJokeOpus delicti from the British man (and band) that brought you such phantabulous creations as 1985's Fegmania! and last year's Globe of Frogs albums. The muscular and melodic "One Long Pair of Eyes", "Madonna of the Wasps", and -- especially -- "Veins of the Queen" may be the disc's highlights, but there really isn't a single hackneyed moment to be found in the sounds contained here. Hitchcock's rabid, ever-growing cult following will doubtless find their own special favorites, but if he keeps on making records as artful, personal, musical and funny as this one, these folks will have to reconcile what was previously a private pleasure with the general public.
