Hitchcock's Tour No Mystery

by Barbara Jaeger

Robyn Hitchcock, one of modern Rock's most original singer-songwriters, will kick off his 1995 solo-acoustic U.S. tour Thursday in Dallas. The road trip, which will bring Hitchcock to Manhattan's Bottom Line on March 30 and 31 and The Turning Point in Piermont, N.Y., on April 4, is in support of his nine-CD reissue collection on Rhino Records.

Six of the titles in the reissue program have been released. They include Black Snake Diamond Role, Gravy Deco (The Complete Groovy Decay/Decoy Sessions), I Often Dream of Trains, Fegmania!, Gotta Let This Hen Out!, and Element of Light. Due for release March 28 are Invisible Hitchcock, Eye, and You & Oblivion. The third title is a new album made up of unreleased material taken from the Hitchcock vaults.
